Recent teaching with Swami Satyananda Saraswati

“Arjuna symbolizes the jiva (soul incarnate), we are all Arjuna. The chariot symbolizes the body, the five horses are the five senses. The reins are the mind and the intellect. Kurukshetra is the world. Kṛṣṇa symbolizes atman, Kṛṣṇa does not fight, he is non-doer, complete in himself and always free.’’

“The mind is the only one that achieves, the body is the only one that achieves, so what is Atman lacking? Nothing. It is the searcher that must disappear. Awakening is the end of the searcher and the search.’’

“Maya is incomprehensible, it is the game of divinity. Our purpose should not be to understand the illusion or the dream, but to get out of it through awakening or liberation.”
